British Columbia Issues Entrepreneur Invitations in Latest PNP Draw

British Columbia continues to attract business-minded immigrants, issuing new invitations under its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) this week.

In its third Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Stream draw of 2025, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) invited five candidates to apply for provincial nomination on April 15. The minimum score required to receive an invitation in this round was 115.

Draw Summary (April 15, 2025):

      • Category: Entrepreneur Immigration – Base Stream

      • Number of Invitations Issued: 5

      • Cut-off Score: 115

This stream is designed for experienced entrepreneurs who wish to invest in and operate a business in British Columbia. To be eligible, candidates must meet several criteria, including:

      • Minimum registration score of 115 points
      • Minimum net worth of $600,000
      • Personal investment of at least $200,000
      • Ownership of at least one-third of the business or a $1 million equity investment
      • Minimum language requirement of CLB 4
      • Post-secondary education or equivalent business management experience
      • Creation of at least one full-time job for a Canadian citizen or permanent resident

The Entrepreneur Immigration category also includes a Regional Pilot Stream focused on smaller communities in B.C. This option features lower financial requirements but demands a visit to the community and a letter of support from local officials.

A Shifting Landscape for the BCPNP

British Columbia has implemented several key changes to its PNP in 2025, including the closure of specific streams, a temporary pause on some draws, and a focus on attracting individuals with high economic impact. Priority is being given to front-line healthcare workers, skilled workers, and entrepreneurs who can stimulate job creation and economic growth.
