Prince Edward Island has conducted its fourth Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw of the year, issuing 168 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates working and studying in the province. The draw focused on individuals employed in high-demand sectors and international graduates from selected institutions.
The invitations were distributed through two primary pathways: Labour Impact and PEI Express Entry. Priority was given to candidates who had been living and working in the province for at least a year. The recipients were graduates from the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI), Holland College, and Collège de l’Île.
High-Demand Sectors Targeted
The PEI Office of Immigration has identified healthcare, trades, and manufacturing as key sectors requiring skilled workers. The draw aims to strengthen the province’s workforce by inviting qualified candidates who can contribute to its economic growth.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates selected under the Labour Impact stream must meet specific requirements, including a full-time job offer from a PEI employer, sufficient settlement funds, and a minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score of 4. Three subcategories exist under this stream: Skilled Worker, Critical Worker, and International Graduate.
The PEI Express Entry stream requires candidates to have a valid Express Entry profile under Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Applicants must qualify under one of the following federal immigration programs: Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), or Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP).
For individuals holding a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) or a spousal open work permit linked to studies outside PEI, additional conditions apply, including nine months of continuous employment in PEI and at least four months of work permit validity at the time of submission.

PEI’s PNP Activity in 2025
With this latest draw, Prince Edward Island has now issued 401 ITAs this year, exclusively targeting candidates from the Labour Impact and Express Entry streams. The province continues to focus on retaining skilled workers and graduates who can help sustain its economic and demographic needs.
